Mazel Tov to San Francisco Be'chol Lashon Family, Michael Miller and Nzinga Kone

Our daughter Noa was told there would be treats, and presents, and tons more love to go around starting sometime this month. She was told grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles would come to town and spoil her with hugs and affection. She was told there would be casserole. She was even told that at the end of the summer, there would be an iPhone 5 release.

But, apparently, she doesn't recall being told all this would be preceded by a baby brother.

No doubt Noa will eventually get cranky given the competition for attention, but for now the whole family is thrilled to introduce Asa Frederick Kone-Miller, born at 2:15a.m. on June 15 in Berkeley. Asa was born after 5 hours of labor, weighing in at 9 lbs. 4 oz., and is 21.25 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well, and we imagine Asa is looking forward to many decades of loving and beefing with big sister Noa.

Warm wishes & love to you all.
