The Health Center Building Details
The basic construction of the new health center is almost complete. The focus is now on the details of the finishings. In addition to the Mogen David details in the window grids, the floors also feature a Mogen David design inlay. The scaffolding on the outside facilitates the plastering of the outside walls. The ground level storefronts are almost complete, ready to be rented to a variety of business enterprises.
The Heath Center is now licensed by the Minister of Health to operate in the town of Mbale. The health inspector was impressed by the seriousness of the project and gave the health center an excellent recommendation. It is now certified to receive medical equipment and operate a pharmacy. A container of medical equipment and supplies, including 20 hospital beds, is on its way to Uganda. A special thanks to Danielle Butin and the Afya Foundation for their help in securing the donations of the medical equipment and supplies in the container and coordinating the transport.
Host Rabbi Gershom Sizomu in the Spring!
