Interfaith Opportunity Summit: Embracing the New Jewish Reality
National Museum of American Jewish History, Philadelphia, October 26, 2016
The Summit will be the first opportunity since the Pew Report for foundations and federations, practitioners offering interfaith family engagement programs, researchers and Jewish organizational leaders to explore together the issues that need to be addressed and efforts that could be made to have more interfaith families engage in Jewish life and community.
Be'chol Lashon and Keshet are offering a lunchtime workshop, When Interfaith Is Just One Piece of the Puzzle: Thinking About Race and Sexuality. Rabbi Ruth Abusch-Magder and Sandra Lawson from Be'chol Lashon, and Joanna Ware from Keshet will discuss overlapping and intersecting social identities such as race and sexuality, and how they affect us and interfaith families.
